Foods to Avoid
Toxic Foods
There are a lot of things you can give your rats as treats, but you need to be careful. Some stuff out there is toxic for them.
However, before we list which foods they are, we need to mention that we found "conflicting" advice on some of the items listed below on whether or not they are truly harmful. Yet it is our opinion that it is better to be safe than sorry! Rats do not "require" the intake of any of these foods to be healthy/happy, so if there is even a slight possibility of them being harmful to your rats, why not steer clear of them.
Be Safe! Avoid These Foods Completely!
